Digi pak target research results

To look into what kind of things would be good to have on our Digi Pak we did some market research. we worked out that we would have 4 spare pages of the pack to cover as 1 was for the cover and 1 was for the place to put the CD. our results asked 50 people who were of a variety of ages and had liked the killers.

firstly we asked them if they liked the killers, if they said no then we did not ask them the rest of the questions as we felt it did not appeal to them. then they were asked to say what they would expect from a digi pak from them.

the results were as follows

The results suggest that a list of the songs and images of the band are essential. we also had strong reactions with the tour dates and reviews which we did not expect but seemed to be a big thing people want to see. the merchandise was very low so that is something we are definitely not having. also there will be no lyrics. they had an above 50% response yet we do not simply have the room in our pack to cover the whole albums lyrics so we've had to ditch the lyrics. The other aspects are things we really want to include. that is involving the special thanks part. This part is essential to the themes of the pop rock genre. all pop rock bands often have a thanks page where the members of the band write who they are thankful for. This is often a personal touch and is common in this genre. to keep with tradition we are going to include it even though the feedback said they were not interested. we also were thinking about doing tour dates but some of our responses that the tour dates would go out of date and be pointless in the long run. its not something we have yet found in our research as being involved in the digi pak for the album due to the time issues.

so our digi pak will involve 1)List of Songs, 2)images of the band, 3)Production company name, 4)Reviews 5)Special thanks page
