Digi pak Development

The Digi-pak is the part of the folded paper inside the album cover which has been around and popular since the late 1990's. Often packed with the lyrics of the songs, tour dates, special thanks pages, images of the band and also small extra's that the band wanted to include. The digi-pak often came with special edition albums and were a part that the band could show their personality.

contents often include
- Lists of Tour Dates
- List of the songs
- Images of the band
- Production company name
- Reviews
- Special thanks page
- Merchandise
- Lyrics of each song

The digi pak can be really important in how it appeals to the correct audience. The usual people who enjoy the Digi pak is the true loyal fans who are fascinated with the band, most people do not enjoy the use of the digi pak as it has irrelevant information for them.

For our Digi pak we will be running a survey to see what kind of things our audience wants from their digi pak and what they would enjoy to have.

There are the color considerations which come with the whole album theme. We designed our Front cover first which gave us a general theme which we wanted to follow throughout the digi pak. we decided that the front cover is the most essential part as it is the bit which everyone see's first and the part which only everyone will look at. not everyone will look at the digipak to follow it. But reasons behind why we chose that kind of theme are in the front cover post.

As we progressed we looked to really centre around our bands mysterious nature. as we have explored they have a huge lack of color in their image and are often wearing black or seen in black and white. there lack of color represents their mood and nature which fascinates their fans. continuing this is essential in keeping the bands image. more on digi pak analysis.
